Welcome to Sons of Anchoring. By using our site, joining the crew, or grabbing some gear, you agree to follow these rules of the water. We keep things clear and friendly here, but we also keep a steady hand on the legal helm. Read through to make sure your voyage with us is smooth sailing.
1. ADMISSIONS & ELIGIBILITY
To sail with us, you must be at least 18 years old. By using this site, you confirm you have the legal capacity to agree to these terms and aren't prohibited from doing so by any local laws or previous spectacular nautical blunders.
2. MEMBERSHIP RULES & CONDUCT
- Nautical Courtesy: We celebrate failure, but we don't tolerate harassment, illegal acts, or being a jerk to the crew.
- Safe Passage: Membership doesn't give you a license to be reckless. Always follow maritime laws and local safety regulations.
- The Vice Admiral's Call: We reserve the right to revoke membership if conduct brings the club into actual disrepute.
3. PAYMENTS & MERCHANDISE
All prices are USD. Memberships and digital goods are non-refundable. For physical gear, please see our Fulfillment & Shipping Policy. We use secure third-party processors to keep your data safe; we never store your payment info on our own decks.
4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Sons of Anchoring name, logos, and 'spectacular fail' branding belong to us. Don't use them for your own commercial gain. If you share photos of your docking adventures with us, you grant us the right to share the humor (and the imagery) with the rest of the community in our marketing.
5. DISCLAIMERS & MARITIME RISKS
Boating is inherently risky. We provide community and humor, not professional maritime advice. Our site is provided 'as is' without guarantees. Whatever happens on your boat is your responsibility, whether you're wearing our gear or not.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sons of Anchoring, LLC and its officers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the site or participation in community activities. Our liability is limited to the greatest degree allowed.
7. CHANGES TO TERMS
The tide changes, and so do our terms. We’ll post any updates here. By continuing to use the site, you accept the new rules. We recommend checking back occasionally to ensure you’re still on course.
